Bell AH-1G Cobra: Pocos, pero buenos.

Bell AH-1G Cobra: Pocos,pero Buenos

Amazing photo of one of the few early Cobras used by the Spanish Navy training HARD over Rota AB. Its pilot was the Capitán de Infantería de Marina Ulpiérrez. Acquired to combat fast missile-equipped boats, the Cobra had a short service life in Spain. The eight AH-1G were employed by the 7ª Escuadrilla and due to its aggressive mission profile half of them were lost in accidents.
Weird model choice: the naval twin-engined Cobras are/were best suited to the naval environment… the typical Spanish pecuniary question, I guess.
