Designed by the genial Adolf Rohrbach and built by the famous Zeppelin-Staaken works the peerless E-4/20 was the first all-metal cantilever four-engined airliner ever built. First flown only seventeen years after the Wright Brothers’ Flyer, this airliner was a total technical success full of other novelties: kitchen, lavatory, radio, etc; a real vision of the future.
Sadly, following the draconian conditions imposed to the defeated Germany in aviation matters the Inter-Allied Commission demanded it to be broken up.
Just look at this marvel. What a bunch of a$#¬@&es !!!!
