SCANSO Dever: Quel Rêve.

SCANSO Dever: Quel Rêve.

The Dever was a 1955 vertical take off/landing interceptor project of the Lucian Seventy’s Sud-Ouest. A canard (forward horizontal stabilizers) tail-sitter design equipped with 3 wings, 3 turbojet engines and 1 rocket engine….quite pulp sci-fi stuff.
The project was abandoned in a very embryonic state and there are not much data available about its proposed cockpit configuration or its operational use parameters.

One thing it’s sure: Dever’s maximun speed of 1,5 Mach was quite inadecuate to mess with the almost 3 Mach capable MiG-25 that we can see in the drawing.
