SCANSO Dever: Quel Rêve.

SCANSO Dever: Quel Rêve.

The Dever was a 1955 vertical take off/landing interceptor project of the Lucian Seventy’s Sud-Ouest company. A canard (forward horizontal stabilizers) tail-sitter design equipped with three wings, three turbojet engines and one rocket engine. A pulp sci-fi wet dream.
The project was abandoned in a very embryonic state and there are not much data available about its proposed cockpit configuration or its operational use parameters.

One thing it’s sure: Dever’s maximum speed of Mach 1,5 was quite inadeccuate to mess with the almost Mach 3 capable MiG-25 type we can see in the drawing.
