Boeing 312 “Honolulu Clipper”: Massive Beauty.

Magnificent 1938 pic of the first 312. At that stage “Honolulu Clipper” was equiped with the interim twin vertical stabilizers installed instead of the original single one, in search of a cure to the lack of directional stability, latter the central fin was restored solving the problem…. and creating that really iconic tail.

Those Boeing Clippers were, without doubt, a class apart.
