David Clark XMC-2: The Shiny Crusader.

The prototype of the future NAA X-15 pressure suit, the XMC-2 (S794-3C) is modeled here by test pilot Scott Crossfield. The photo was taken at the Aero Medical Laboratory on 14 October 1957 while he was conducting some test runs in Johnsville centrifuge. Crossfield was a capital figure in the X-15 program and he was adamant in the necessity of pressure suits in its operation; this stunning David Clark’s outfit was the result.
