The Société Nationale de Constructions Aéronautiques du Nord undertook during the German Occupation the manufacture of the Messerschmitt Bf 108 liaison aircraft under licence. Nord was also destined to built the improved Bf 208 -in fact, only two prototypes were built. After the Liberation the French company chose to continue with the Bf 208’s development, in what became their Nord 1100 series. The 1101 was one of the two main versions produced; the one powered by a Renault 6Q-10 engine.
Charming photograph of this very “Messer” Nord…. with a “Boche” disguise, as usual.
