Fleetwings F-4 Sea Bird: Timing is Everything.


One of the prettiest “winged/boated” things of the 1930’s. Designed in the middle of that decade by James Reddiq this 3-4 passenger amphibious aircraft was notorious for its bold spot-welded stainless steel construction. Things looked rosy,but its high price and the Depression ended the dream. Only 6, the prototype seen here included, were built.

I love this engine configuration.
