A real barn find -well, a well-known one-, this rare two-seat HA-1112 M.4L was one of the bunch of Buchones that Coonie Edwards took as payment for his involvement in the “Battle of Britain” 1969 movie.
The 109’s neat undercarriage layout is clearly depicted here. Great for logistical reasons, it was also one of Bf 109’s main weakness; tricky in operations and prone to failure.
Fine cockpit canopy design, much better looking than its German two-seat counterpart’s (G-12), but not as safe.
You’re late. Already sold, methinks.
