Goodyear K-Class Airship: The shiny side of life.

Designed just before the start of WW2, the K-class blimps became with the start of the hostilities the “inflated” worker bees of the US.Navy. Equiped with trusty P & Whintney Wasp radials they earned their keep during patrols and, specially, on anti-submarine warfare operations. As a curiosity, two of them completed on June 1944 the first Atlantic crossing made by a non-rigid airship ever.

Plain beauty.
