Northrop “Flying Wing Airliner”: A wing with a view.

Jack Northrop’s flying wing dreams didn’t stop with the military. Just after the end of WW2, and with his B-35/B-49 flyin’, the time seemed right for a airline derivate. Northrop spent quite a sum of company money promoting the idea; the airlines didn’t bite that hook.
With various power configuration studied, the Flying Wing Airliner was conceived as a very spacious aircraft with some very interesting posibilities. One of the most outstanding was the grandiose passengers’ view afforded by these leading edge huge windows.
