The “tiny” CAMS 160 was built as a small-scale test model for the humongous six-engined CAMS 161. The 161 was one of the contenders for a 1936 specification issued by the Direction Générale de l’Aviation Civile -the other were the SE-200 and the Laté 631. The 1/2,6 scale CAMS 160 made its maiden flight in the Spring of 1938. Stocked during “l’Occcupation” Chez Potez (that firm bought CAMS) , The 160 was later taken by the German who undertook some flights with it.
Neat little toy, cute retractable underwing floats.
