Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3a: The Swiss Sea bottom.

Switzerland was an early and important operator of the Messerschmitt famous product. The Swiss took delivery of their first 109s, of around 115, Bf 109s in 1938. With 80 delivered, the “Emil” was the main variant used. They were employing enforcing the neutrality of that Oasis of peace that was Switzerland during WW2. Not an always peaceful duty, occasionally during the interception of intruding aircrafts more than words were exchanged.

“Sharks” of the  Flieger Kompanie 21 at rest on the sea bottom. A pretty neat nose job.
