USS Los Angeles (ZR-3): “Check the gas bags, please”.

An “American” Zeppelin that wasn’t a Goodyear. The ZR-3 was German through and through. Anyway, from the late 1920s to the beginning of WW2 the Luftschiffbau Zeppelin was associated with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in the “Goodyear-Zeppelin Corporation”. A lot of studies, dreams and two Zeppelins (Akron & Macon) were the result.

Lovely gas station of the 1930s (1931 according to the quote). By the way, you could smoke freely inside the “Los Angeles”: it was Helium-filled.
