Grumman F9F-8 Cougar: Dystopian, maybe?

The Grumman’s household Panther was a good trusty straight-wing jet fighter, but the surprise entry of the MiG-15 in the Korean War (sorry, “Police Action”) raised the stakes to a new unreachable level. The Cougar was essentially a more powerful swept-wing equipped evolution of Grumman no-nonsense Panther: a worthy offspring that kept all the best features of its ancestor.
Observing this dynamic poster -why the haste?-  I can’t help but think if these “firemen” were like the ones on Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451”.
Anyway, the Cougars arrived too late to take part in the Korean “thing” and enjoyed a peaceful service life afterwards.
