Fisher XP-75A Eagle: Waste Picking.

Finding some use for this sinful marvel. Not totally sure about this precious photo of the XP-75A Eagle, but it could the airplane 44-44550 which was sent to NACA Ames in late 1944. According to what I have read it was the heavily instrumented for flying qualities evaluations and stability and control test in general. It was also employed in full-scale tunnel tests to reduce drag and performed propeller experiments; this side “moustaches” maybe were involved in that later use, methinks.

Anyway, a gorgeous beast that barely lived up to its name….well, at least it had the looks.
