Aerfer Leone: A pity,not even a roar.

The Leone took as a basis the company former light fighter (Sagittario 2 and Ariete) with the intention of achieving a higher performance yet retaining the light fighter format. To do that Ing Sergio Stefanutti became seducted by the mixed power plant formula (jet + rocket engine) so “en vogue” at the second half of the 1950s.
Various causes condemned this interceptor project in 1960. Sadly before the almost completed prototype took flight.
