The 40.08 Luftkreuzer (Sky Cruiser) was an Austro-Hungarian triplane bomber which appeared in 1916. This monstrosity was powered by one pusher and two tractor engines (of lesser power) and spotlight-equipped defensive gun positions. Such a weird artifact, it seems to have suffered serious technical and aerodynamic problems and remained a non-flyer.
All in all, just another bizarre aircraft in the gloriously strange gallery of Austro-Hungarian aircraft of the Great War.
