Hampered by the harsd conditions inposed to Germany in powered flight after WW1, the Germans just discarged the engines. First flown in 1935 the wood & cloth Minimoa (named after a type of lenticular cloud) was -one of- the best sailpane of its era with several records and chanpionships on his wings.
