Guyard 2nd Monoplane: Cagneux.

The first Guyard was an ungainly Demoiselle copy that was tested -of all places- in Madagascar, 1910. A year later, in April, a second Guyard monoplane made its appareance and was tested at Issy (France). A totally different design, this monoplane was somewhat crude looking, yet well-built. The most peculiar feature of this otherwise plain aircraft was its undercarriage. The latter was built on a pair of arched wooden struct and a crossbar, plus a pair of neat short forward skids.
