NAA Mustang IA: Some idea.

These weird wooden wheels were fitted to the early Mustangs -a British Mustang IA in this case- to move them round the ramp, North American Aviation’s Inglewood. To spare or economise a nickel or two, maybe. Real tyres were employed later, obviously.
